What I do, is backup my Desktop, documents, downloads, pictures and movies folder to my Synology NAS via the Synology drive client. That is where I keep my imported files. On all other computer I did the same, what results all files in this folders are the same on each device or computer. DS finder supports on most models (rack mount models, desktop models of FS and XS series, and EDS14 excluded). DS finder supports managing all Synology NAS models running DSM 5.2 and above. It is completely possible to see who is accessing files on a Synology.
